To create a new list database:

Method 1:

In the Finder, locate any current database in the Finder, copy and paste it into a new location. Still in the Finder, rename the file.

Method 2:

Use a text editor and create a new empty document. Save the empty document with the extension ".tp"

Important: When naming or renaming a TaskPad database file, ensure that the name ends with the extension ".tp" in order for FT2 to recognise it.

To use a different list database:

1. Open FT2's Preferences > General tab either via the FT2 main menu item 'Preferences' or from the TaskPad action menu item "Choose database..."

2. Click the 'Set...' button in the TaskPad Database section of the General tab.

3. Navigate to an alternative database (see 'To create a new database' above).

4. Click 'OK"

5. Open the TaskPad and start using the database.

To use the same database on different macs:

Follow the instructions in 'To create a new list database' and save the new database in a shareable location such as a Dropbox folder.
Next, follow the instructions in 'To use a different list database' to switch to your shared database.
